Starting Over With My Summer Mentality

I've been gone for quite a while and I've made no physical progress in that time. I have, however, found a brand new motivation. I'm taking summer classes and in an effort to have a relaxing summer despite the stress of two classes, I found a fantastic way to be healthy. Something about sunshine and warm weather makes me want to take care of myself, to enjoy life.

I've started swimming laps every morning before class (sometimes adding my C25K workout in before) and it reminds me that it's summer. I go to the farmer's market once a week and get produce you just can't have in other seasons. I've put flowers in my apartment. I'm spending a couple hours on campus to study every day so that when I come home at the end of the day I can do whatever I want. It's exciting to know that everything can work out.

Probably the biggest change is that I finally bought a one piece bathing suit. Last summer I weighed a lot less and for a long time I felt like buying bigger clothes or a one piece would be admitting defeat. But it's made me a lot more comfortable with myself by getting stuff that fits. I'm way more confident. And if I have to throw it out in a couple months cuz I'm too skinny, I don't think I'll be complaining!

    This is great. I know I always feel better in new clothes even if they might be a size larger than you wanted to wear. Confidence is a major factor is how and what we accomplish. Way to go on the swimming. I've been doing aerobics in the water. Trying to do three days a week.
