A few small victories

I'm happy to report that while I'm still in not doing as well as I'd like, I can chalk up two small accomplishments.
1) In response to a challenge on the 30-Somethings with 100+ to Lose team, I have not had ice cream (I include ice milk, frozen yogurt, sherbert and sorbet in this catagory) since June 1. This is a really big deal for me - ice cream is my comfort food of choice. I even passed on the ice cream cake brought in for a co-worker's birthday - and I was serving it! My only frozen indulgence has been water ice, and I've only had that a few times.
2) I've walked 2 miles most every day for the past two weeks. I've walked in the rain, in oppressive heat and humidity, as dawn was barely breaking over the horizon, as the sun was setting. Not far, not fast, but doing it on a regular basis.
One thing at a time, I guess.
