Well, ya'll know how much I was dreading this workout as the dewpoint was just crazy stupid. Fortunately, the clouds vertook the sun and that helped alot. Since I am the slowest runner in the group I arrived early so I could get a head start and in the end it worked perfect. I actually felt great as I utilized my 4/:45 intervals and that ratio was great.
My pacing was good at right on the money during the 1600 m intervals. It was not as bad as I thought it would be and it was the intervals that made such a difference. My fellow runners looked at me as if my face was plaid since this was pretty much the first time I used run/walk. Actually, my pacing was comfortable with that little walk break. Strong and steady!
As many of you know I made the commitment with running the Disney Princess Hald marathon February 2011. You commit by plunking down the $$$ to do it. This is a huge dream come true for me and I actually cried after I registered. Its Princess Coach nancy's fault LOL. Right after I registered she made the statement that it woiuld be pretty cool to run that HM and the next thing I knew, she was registered too. It was at that time I dubbed her Princess Coach Nancy. I am also hoping that Mary and Christina make it too!! Come on girls!
Hubby is a HUGE Disney dude and he was pondering whether he should go on this trip as it would be very different from our other trips to The World. In the end he decided that if he survived the weekend with me at the Spark convention that he could do this too. So my fellow Spark Princesses my Prince will be tagging along. I am so excited!!!
I have a quick 2 mile recovery spin around the 'hood tomorrow and an 8 mile long run Sunday to finish out the week.
Until then...
Toodles!!!
