I LOVE MILK!!! WHOLE MILK, but I've learned to drink 2% milk because of the calories. I've just discovered a way to drink fat-free milk....smoothies! I love smoothies but don't like the mixes and the ones commercially sold are not always calorie friendly. Two years ago I bought a smoothie make that I've never used. I finally decided to use it. Yesterday I had a blackberry/banana smoothie and this morning I had blueberry/banana. I freeze the berries overnight. In the morning I add a cup of milk, the frozen berries and a banana to the blender and in a few minutes I have a nutritious breakfast that includes two servings of fruit and one serving of milk! I never thought it would be so easy! Tomorrow I will have strawberry/banana! While the fat-free milk is good for the smoothies, I honestly don't think I will EVER be able to enjoy it with cereal.
