After admiring the beauty they shared with us today, ask yourself if such magnificence is merely the result of an accident of nature. Or perhaps the result of the artistry painted by the Master Painter himself?
I personally have a difficult time believing such majesty as nature provides is anything less than a true gift from God. You may agree, or not, that is your choice. But when we look at the miracles that surround us how can we explain them away by claiming they just happened?
Their pictures stirred something in me tonight. Wanderlust perhaps, wishing to be able to see the same sights they did. Maybe, too, a bit of envy that they can admire these glorious aspects of nature whenever they wish.
But then I walked my dogs to the back yard and noticed the mature orange trees and grapefruit trees in the yard that produce such sweet, juicy fruit in season that many neighbors stop by for a bag full. Before I went back inside I watered the beautiful orange/red colored flowers in the front yard and realized that we all are surrounded by natural beauty of plants and animals, waterfalls, mountains, lakes and oceans.
All we need to do is to take the time to notice and to admire the things that tug at our hearts. It is everywhere and is, I believe, a gift to us from above.
