What to eat when you are on a rush...and how it affects your diet.

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

Okay sooo... I have been on the rush all this week that has also considentally been my first week of diet, i have not even had a minute to go grocery shopping.

To eat every time i am supposed to i have been eating out or having dinner at home. For breakfast for the last two days i have been eating Egg McMufin from McDonalds and a small orange juice which add up to 369 Calories. I have not had snacks in between because since i have nothing healthy at home i rather just wait till my meals come and eat a bit morein my meals since im not consuming snack calories. emoticon

I want this really bad, i am just scared that when a couple of those hard to lose weight days come around and i havent lost too much i will be dissapointed in all my effort BUT I know i have to remain strong!

The key is to figure out what exactly you can fit into YOUR lifestyle. When I first started out it wasn't all or nothing, I didn't clean out my pantry and fridge. Sure, I vowed not to buy chips and dip again (though I did once...but not every week like I was!), but I figured I could indulge in smaller portions of what I normally ate (for the most part). Check nutritionals and see what you can squeeze in without too many problems. There are certain modifications you can make too. Like try taking off the top of your breakfast sandwich, or have water instead of OJ. When the time comes, you'll be dying to buy food you can eat more of and still enjoy! *lmao*

Good luck, dear. It may take time, but it's totally worth it!

Thanks for the afvise Anvibextor!! The banana and milk smoothie idea made me hungry now jaja!! Yummy i will be going to the store and picking up some lean cousine and turkey and thinsg like that today, will defenetly be taking your smoothie idea for breakfast it sounds delicious.

Hilmarriott! That is actually a very good idea because i have a Subway right next to my work so that is very convenient for morning breakfast too! And they are pretty healthy!! Will see if i stop in tomorrow to see what they have for breakfast and pick something on my way to work.

If you do have to do fast food breakfast, try subway. it is a lot leaner, and more fullfilling!

once you get time to go to the store, you will feel much better. I HAVE to plan out my meals to feel in control, plus when I make them at home I really know what is going into them. I wish you the best of luck!

I hear you. I don't get the time to even sit down throughout the day so planning meals is out of question. We need to realize though that it's crucial to trust the process and follow it. I put some milk and a banana in the blender and make a smoothie at night so a quick breakfast is ready for me in the morning when I have no time. Lunch is usually a lean cuisine meal and dinner is whole wheat bread with turkey and cheese. For snacks I just buy fruit/ yogurt. Just grab and go!

I also don't have time to go on a grocery shopping mission so I just pick up things as and when I can. A loaf of bread today, bananas tomorrow, etc.
