Must get back on track

I really want to get back on track but not sure where to start, last time I saw my GP she said not to worry about my weight as I was (and still am) feeling very low, only trouble is with her saying that I am sure I have been nibbling emoticon and pecking more. I seem to do alright in the day but come evening(especially if Michael is down) I seem to eat loads and this is not good, I have been drinking more water (with cordial) as it has been so hot. I have also been having more trouble with sciatica so I am not walking emoticon so much.

    Whenever I get in a bad rut and need to start getting back on track, I do the following things:
    - drink lots of water
    - eat breakfast (this is so easy for me to skip but it really helps curb my cravings for the day)
    - plan my meals for the day
    - use a smaller plate to control portion sizes
    - get sleep!

    I am also a very likely suspect in any crimes of late-night eating....I like to save 100 calories a day for 1/2 a serving of pretzels or something before bed. Sorry to hear about your sciatica....best wishes through these hard times!
