Cake, cake everywhere, and not a piece for me......

Wednesday, July 21, 2010

So we had a lovely Afternoon Tea, which I had been heavily involved in organising. We raised over £350.00 for the local group which brings children from Chernobyl over for a holiday each year, particularly so that they can each have a supply of vitamins to take home to last them all year.

I like to be sure that we don't run out of anything when I'm involved in organising an event. The teabread I took all got eaten but the cake didn't. Nor did they need it on the cake stall, so quite a lot came home.............

Some has been taken to our daughter's house for her family, the rest is in the box waiting for our son and grandson to arrive on Friday. And no, Laurie, you don't need to cross the pond to stop me eating it - though that could be such fun......and I shall not cover it in salt or feed it to the ducks, Martha-Ann, as that would be too wasteful. So I shall walk past the box with eyes averted until it has all gone. Yes, I will. I will. Yes, I definitely will. Yes.
