Today was an easy recovery run after the grueling hard 7 mile race yesterday. I usually don't feel any moans or groans in my legs after long runs or 5k races, but I feel a few today but just the normal ones and no hot spots. I needed this run this morning and it helped work out some kinks. It felt so easy and fun. yesterday's race was essentially my long run this week even though it was harder than what I would usually do but it will work. I had approval from my trainer and I added a few more miles with my warm up and cool down to make it 9 miles yesterday.
This week is cutback week with 4 easy miles Tuesday, perhaps some speedwork Thursday at the track, another easy 4 miles run Friday and a 4 mile long run Sunday. After that, it picks up again of course. i will also keep up with my ST that I have started again.
