This morning's run was so enjoyable even if it was at 5:15-ish am. I love this time of day as it is so peaceful and almost zero traffic. Its just me, the birds, bunnies, paper boys, fellow runners and walkers that are out and about. The temps are so nice and my mind is so clear. It does not get any better than that, my friends. It actually makes getting up at 5am easy.
I have been dealing with DOMS since my HARD race Saturday and gradually it has been better with each passing day. This morning the DOMS is pretty much gone just like Nancy said it would be. She states that for each mile run in a race, it takes a day per mile to recover. I definitely buy into that notion. This morning running came so effortlessly and as you can see I took it at the assigned pace.
I will now continue to attempt to get my ST streaks set as a habit. I am still trying to get this done as I know the importance it is to a runner. I need and want to get rid of the fluff as I look at myself as fit/fat. The abdominal fluff has got to go! So, between now and Thursday (my next scheduled run) I shall work on ST...so help me God.
Until then...
Toodles!!
