Week's Been a Blur

Friday, August 13, 2010

I had a very good day yesterday and have another one planned for today! It is 4:40 a.m. and I'm ready to head down to the treadmill. I've struggled a bit this week but I'm now going strong. No insightful blogs for me this week, just trying to string together as many positive steps as I can.

Whenever I think I should be losing weight faster or more consistently; whenever I start to beat myself up for what I HAVEN'T done -- I think about what I HAVE done right: the crappy pizza I passed up on two days, the catered breakfast I didn't eat, the chicken breast sandwich I ate at a restaurant instead of the BBQ plate, etc. etc. Not to mention the days I've gotten up early to get on the treadmill instead of sleeping in!

SO -- even if the scale isn't making record moves downward, without all the positive actions I HAVE taken it could be moving UPWARD. So it's all good!

Only three more days in this week's challenge, everyone! Make it a good day! Let's make sure there's a little less of us by Monday!

Correction: This was an insightful blog TG. You've had a positive week because YOU made it a positive week for yourself. You met challenges, controlled your food choices and got up early to exercise in spite of a hectic schedule.

I wonder if the exercise endorphins are helping with the positive outlook?

Insightful indeed. If we exercise, we make progress, we feel better and it gives us an energetic positive outlook. Hmmm....

The other good thing is that you still have your thumb!!

Hope it's getting better by the way.

I also applaud your attitude - "little" successful steps translate into HUGE positive results so good job on the steps and also giving yourself credit for them.

I suspect one of these weeks (hopefully about three weeks from now emoticon you'll see a big drop in the numbers as your body recognizes what is going on.

Keep up the good work - you are a major force in this challenge!

I love your perspective, "Just trying to string together as many positive steps as I can." That's something I can grab on to!

The scale may not reflect movement ... but there is deep within you. You are healthier from your positive choices.
I am fortunate that I get more immediate feedback when I test my blood glucose three times a day. Blood tests will reflect the positive choices made.

You are on the right track. Giving up things which are not so healthy is a great start. Keep on keepin on!
