Saw myself naked -- eep!

Saturday, August 14, 2010

I usually avoid looking at myself in the mirror for obvious reasons, but this morning I forgot to shield my eyes and all I can say is YIKES!

What a motivator THAT is to stay on track this weekend. Only 48 hours until weigh in, and my intention is to make every one count! Vandal, I'm nipping at your heels for this week's crown! emoticon

I know I can do better and I really want to do better. Today I'm making the resolution to DO better.

One of the advantages of getting older is the eyesight starts to go, so I do not notice fine lines and wrinkles, unless I really go looking for them.

Even fully clothed can be scary. Catching a glance in a store window is frightening. "Is that really me?"

It been years since I saw myself naked, (small mirrors) but I think I'm starting to look like a Shar Pei.

I know we've all seen that joke about how a woman sees herself in the mirror and how a man (in a Speedo) sees himself.

Let's just say - you will NEVER see me in a Speedo!!

But the sight is motivating isn't it??!!

Good luck on Monday! I know there are a lot of PRETENDERS to the crown!! but you all have to EARN IT!!

    Later,

One of the best diets around is to eat all you want, but do so naked in front of the mirror. Talk about portion control!!

A bathing suit would do too. Put on the bathing suit, sit in front of the mirror and eat whatever you want. If you can.

Have a good weekend TG, the sky is the limit.

I hope this doesn't sound weird, but I actually make it a habit of looking at myself in the mirror pretty often. Not because it's a pleasant sight. I need to be reminded of what I'm destined to look like if I don't change my lifestyle.

The other side of that is, I can see changes. They are very small, subtle changes, but even if they are tiny, they are very, very encouraging. I know every lump, bump and roll I own and I like to see them get a little smaller or disappear! It's not pretty, but it sure provides some incentive.

So, embrace that extra stuff you've got hanging around. Get to know it really well and then say goodbye as it disappears.

Have a great day and a great weigh-in!
