My 2nd 5k

Monday, August 23, 2010

I ran my 2nd ever 5K on Sat. It was 71 degrees and about 70% humidity! emoticon Even the fastest runners times slowed down because of the humidity! My knee held up fairly well but I was a little bummed w/my time of 33:48. My run back in May was actually better w/ a time of 31 minutes. My husband ran and finished it w/me also! emoticon I'm so glad to have his support and encouragement! We have another 5k scheduled for Oct. 2nd so I guess that gives me a goal to shoot for! It is only my fault for slacking on my training the last month or so when it was so hot and humid!!!! So I know what I have to do to get my time back on track!

emoticon emoticon emoticon I am glad I dropped by to check on you. I got to read about how great you did. Congratulations! emoticon
I love how inspired I am by how you and your husband work together in reaching a goal. I really love it. I am trying to get my hubby to start being more active with me as well.
