You never stop worrying.........

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

I thought when our kids were born, that we would nurture them, do what we could to bring them to maturity, then they would leave aged 18, and fend for themselves. Hey ho.
Not only did they not all leave at age 18, when they did go, they came back. In the case of our younger son, complete with his drum kit, snooker table, massive TV - just as we had downsized and moved when we retired. Since then so much has happened.
I read in an SP article recently that when a child is not doing well, or has troubles, the mental health of the parents can be affected! On that basis, DH and I should be basket cases by now!
But our current concern is mostly for Alex, our younger son's partner, who remains in hospital recovering from the blood clots which followed the surgery on her broken leg. She is still very ill. Thank you for the messages of concern, and the prayers - they mean so much.
