It is 5:10 a.m. and I am avoiding the dreadmill! So this will be short so I will get down there and log a few miles before I get ready for school.
I blogged yesterday about weekends being dangerous times for me...the end of the work week...time to relax and enjoy...time for *me*...
BUT -- this weekend I am going to shift my attitude!
THE WEEKEND CAN STILL BE ALL OF THOSE THINGS while still treating my body with respect! It is unproductive and unhealthy to binge for three days over the weekend and then eat spartanly for four. That absolutely must be the definition of insanity, and I do it over and over and over.
This weekend will be different. We have a couple of fun hikes planned AND I'm going to work consciously to stay in the moment and enjoy the minutes and hours that make up my life. I'm going to work to change the mindset that says I can't do that without overindulging in things that aren't healthy for me.
I don't even know if this makes sense, but this is my challenge this weekend. I hope all of you have a great Friday and stay strong; only 36 hours until THE LAST WEIGH IN!
