Today is a good day calorie and exercise wise ---- especially for a Saturday. It helps that Mom is also counting calories ---- since we spend so much time together on the weekends.

We took the dogs and kids for a long walk around the park, got a new library book, and then came home to sensible lunches --- instead of the usual burger-grab while out.

Although, it's 3pm already and I still have 900 calories to consume. I prefer to spread it out through the day, to avoid the habit of wanting to eat a lot at dinner, but that isn't how today worked out.

All last week, I ate high-fiber cereal with 2% milk for breakfast, had a sandwich with fresh fruit (instead of chips) and even drank V8 one day. The V8 and sandwich combination was very filling. Need to remember that one.

Had a can of chick soup with sandwhich one day. That was good, too, for the cooller days. But I have always loved V8 and it provides a lot of veggie servings.
