Thank goodness it is Monday!

Monday, September 13, 2010

Well on a normal weekend I do not exercise on Sunday's and am a little more laxed on the counting of the calories. I normally say it is my free day. Yesterday was Grandparents day and my Grandparents raised me from the time I was 5 until I was 16. So we went to go to church with Grandma and had a class luncheon at the church afterwards. It was a cold plate luncheon with things like Potato salad, macaroni salad, chicken salad, deviled eggs, etc. They also had fried chicken. So I opted for one piece of fried chicken, watermellon, a ham biscut and a piece of apple cake. Not the best but I tried to stay away from the mayo laydened foods. Then for supper last night at my grandma's we had a family gathering/Fish Fry. Yes you heard me right for some reason southern families can not NOT FRY THINGS. My father's idea of sea food is fried, shrimp, fried scallops, fried catfish, etc. However when I fix seafood at my house it is steamed or grilled. But because it was grandparents day I fixed it how the grandparents wanted. We had green beans with ham in them, cole slaw, macaroni salad and corn bread to go with it. Needless to say I am sure I went over in my calories but I think it was only by 100 to 200 calories.

I am so good during the week with my diet and exercise. It is Sunday's in the country that mess me up. I am so grateful it is Monday so far today I have worked out and only eatten a bananna and a yogurt. YAHHHH for Monday!
