I Did Lose a Whole Two Pounds

Yesterday, Friday the 24th of September, I weighed in and I did lose the two pounds that I was going for. It just feels so good to accomplish that. I'm going good with signing in, but the diet part of the program is not working for me and I don't know how to change it. So I've decided to just go with writing down everything I eat and count calories. I've been doing well with drinking my water everyday and I've been sleeping eight hours every night. I had one very stressful day this week and thought I would have an emotional back slide, but I didn't. I moved on more determined then ever. Well, I also had a little help from a friend who talked me through it all. The weekends are the hardest time for me. I know how very easy it is to gain those two pounds back. I'm having the granddaughter's over tonight for dinner, a movie and a sleep over. So for dinner I made spaghetti and we are having salad. I'm making some cup cakes for desert. My plan is to have just a tiny bit of spaghetti and a large salad and no cup cake. I think I can handle that. I'm looking forward to a fun evening with the girls. I'm also going to surprise the girls with the fall decorations up every where. They love that when Grandma Judy does that. Grandpa is putting up the pumpkin lights for me and I'm doing the rest of the decorating. Happy Fall everyone and have a wonderful, blessed weekend.

    After I was at my goal weight 6 months, I figured I had a pretty good handle on things, so I stopped using the food tracker. Instead I use a handwritten journal, I don't count calories, but I watch my portion sizes. It's working for me, because I've been maintaining my goal weight about 3 years now.

    Even though I don't count the calories, writing down keeps me aware of what I am eating and how much, so I don't overdo it.

    I know what you are talking about with the diet part. I still eat the same foods I can not eat what they say but I just track the calories.
