60 pounds of fat holding me back from having a baby.

Sunday, September 26, 2010

Hello Sp. hope everyone out there is doing great...

So I went to the doctors on friday and he told me to be able to get pregnant i would have to loose 50-60 pounds... then he would put me on fertility drugs.
I must say when he told me this i was completley suprised. i thought it would be way more difficult considering the meds im on and some other health issues i have... i was plesently suprised...
when i left the office and started heading out to my car i felt my eyes fill up with tears, i couldnt hold them back, i started to ball..... I WAS SO HAPPY!!!!! dont get me wrong loosing 50-60 pounds wont be easy but if i put my mind to it it wont be to bad ither..... The only only thing thats preventing me from having a baby is 60 pounds of fat.....
Bottom line.... i thought it would be worse so im excited....
So i was thinking of ways i could loose this weight, i mean everyone has their own routine...
Which brings me to a question for all of you wonderful SP peeps.

I`ve read alot of your blogs and i see alot of people cooking all their food for the week on sundays so that way they are all prepped and ready to go...

my question is what type of dinners are you making for the week,,, i need a list. i need to know what type of foods to buy for dinner and what to make for the week....
that way i wont be tempted to grab whatever an eat it....

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you do this can you help me out and give me ideas,, i would like to prep my food today or tomorrow.... thanks so much....

I've cooked and froze soups/stews, pasta, quiche, lasagna, meatballs etc. I then put portion sizes in Ziploc sandwich bags and put a date on it. Then, when I get home, I can just pop it in the microwave. Most of the recipes I find are from online somewhere, such as Weight Watchers, Laa Loosh, or just random sites. I should probably start cooking once a week again. Otherwise, I just end up snacking after work.

Crockpot for me is a time saver and it's great ! You prep everything put it in, go to work come back and it's done. I make chili, stew, several chicken recipes here on Sparks. Look it up they are always good. I buy frozen chicken breasts, real time saver I cook 5 or 6 keeps well in the fridge for fahijatas, wrap or salads.

Soups are always a good one, and i make alot of chicken or fish stews. Portion it out into tubs and freeze. Then all you have to do is bang it in the microwave on defrost.
I always put loads of veggies in my stews so if im eating in a rush i dont have to worry about cooking any more;it helps it go a bit further too. emoticon
