We did not get any frost last night like I thought we would, but it looks like another chance tonight.

I went outside around noon and uncovered my plants. The plants I am covering up are in pots, and I put them all on my porch, some on the patio table and some on the floor, so I could cover and uncover them quickly, and since I will have to cover them up again tonight, I just left them there. I wanted to get some of the potted plants transplanted into the ground, and I intended to do that today. It was 50°F when I went out, but just enough wind to make it feel cold, so I decided to wait til Wednesday or Thursday, when it will be in the 60's during the day.

I did get outside a little later in the afternoon for a 20 minute walk though. I am tired today, and I had to really push myself to get out there and do it, but I'm glad I did, it actually made me feel a bit more awake.

I've decided I have to go back to at least a mostly bland diet again for awhile; this latest chemo I am on is really aggravating my acid reflux. My mom stopped over today and I gave her the tomatoes I had bought last week, because those are not something I can eat when my GERD is flaring up. Kind of bummed also I can't have my General Foods International vanilla caramel lattes either, but the coffee in those aggravates my condition too. With the cooler weather here, I am really going to miss those.

I'm glad you got your walk in, but it's disappointing about the acid reflux. I know that can be miserable.

I hope your GERD improves over the next few days. It is difficult to enjoy your day when you aren't feeling well.

So glad your mom can enjoy the tomatoes, Shari! I know you are, too. I'm trying to get used to the fact that soon, it'll be time to get back into various cabbage dishes for me...so sad to see the luscious summer produce go. I hope your plants will fare well despite the chillier weather you're getting as of late, and that you'll have a relatively easy time of it when you plant them in the ground. Lots of applause here that you were able to get in your walk! emoticon - Sandi emoticon

It must be autumn everywhere today. I hope that your plants do well despite the weather. Great job for getting out there and getting a walk in! I've had acid reflux too and it's miserable. I hope that things settle quickly so that you can eat regular foods soon. God bless.... emoticon emoticon emoticon

I can understand why you are going to miss those lattes-they are awesomely good and especially in cooler weather. I hope your GERD settles down soon. My husband has it really bad and he won't make changes in his diet. I'm proud of you!
