I'm back I guess

Monday, October 04, 2010

Yep, today the scales read 140lbs - ten pounds more than when I reached my goal back in February - and I realise I obviously can't keep my weight down on my own. So here I am, back again - and properly back I hope; not just tracking food for half a day every two weeks like I have been!

I've quit my job at the theatre (although I still go back for casual shifts occasionally) so I don't get nearly as much everyday exercise as I used to. Instead I am trying to carve a career in writing, proofreading and editing, which is exciting, but progress is very slow and it will be a while before I'm making proper money again. And of course, it involves me sitting on my bum all day everyday.

So I'm planning on taking a walk nearly every day, and walking into town when I need to rather than getting the bus. I will resume my strength training, which I don't think I've really done this year AT ALL. That's scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays. And of course, I'll be tracking my food again. It's crazy how bad habits have crept in and I've been totally in denial of them.

I'm always here to support you whenever you need my help.

Tracking your food is a great way to keep you focused. I have to resume my ST too, I haven't been very consistent with it. :(

Best of luck with your career in writing!

Keep your chin up. You have certainly got some obstacles but the Lord always offers us an escape. In other words if you look for the opportunities and take them as they come up as you plan then exercise might be easier than you think. I hope you find a way everyday to find what you need to succeed. Keep coming here to Spark and you will hopefully find lots of good folks to cheer you on and inspire you. I like that you have already been thinking of your options. Way to be thinking about what you need to do to attain your goals.
    Good luck!
