First day of Blogging!

Tuesday, October 05, 2010

I don't know why it took me so long to post an entry for a blog...but it occurred to me that today had to be the day!

I think that joining Sparkpeople has really increased my motivation to follow-through with the things in my life that matter to me.

For example: I finally got over that fear to apply to a 4-year college, and did it...and got accepted! I realized that in my life I was 'beating myself up' mentally and now I try to repeat a daily tough-love mantra for when I am exercising, or trying to finish something that is really difficult. My state of mind that involved too much fear was paralyzing me. Everything is a work in progress...

I read a quote recently that was really encouraging to me:

"Let us ride our horse of confidence. Let us use our bow and arrow of genuineness. Let us develop gentleness, so we don't have to destroy the world."-Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
taken from: How not to be afraid of your own life by Susan Piver

Good luck with all your goals! WE CAN DO IT!
With love and support,
-Natalie
