Yesterday I decided to sprint through the rest of the year. Not that I want the days to go any faster. If they did I don't think I could keep up, but I want to work really hard to push forward and be successful in every aspect of my life. I was never one to brag, but I have to admit that I am doing amazingly well lately. In the past six weeks I have lost 11 pounds and still have three weeks to make my goal of 15 pounds. Not too bad considering I had one week that I logged no change after being in Oklahoma for my sister's wedding that weekend. Now I am on day two of my sprint and I am feeling good.

Yesterday I took the day off. My body was so sore from the race and I was exhausted. I did want to start incorporating strength training on my non-running days so I did 75 wall push-ups on my bathroom counter and 75 tricept dips with my bathroom counter. I can feel it a little today but not much. Tomorrow is an off day and I am going to concentrate more on my abs. Today I ran six laps at the park and walked one as a cool down. That was about 2 and a 1/4 miles in 43 minutes. I was sweaty and happy. I am still a little sore but feel so amazing. I don't know if it is hitting the 100's, fitting into my 16's really well, or just the fact that I am doing it that is making me feel so great. I am feeling pretty unstoppable in this area. My scale even read 197 this morning!

The rest of my life needs a little more work to get it to fall into place. You know how it is, you focus on one area and the other starts to slide. I have a bunch of homework and my grades are not as high as they should be. I have court reports to write at the office this week and last minute visits to make before the end of the month. So it is going to be a busy week for me. But I am sprinting along and will get it all done. Hopefully I won't drive everyone around me crazy while I do it.

How is your end of the year, challenge, month, goal, sprint, coming?

I am trying to renew my motivation and determination right now. I've been lax because I hadn't been seeing results on the scale...I'll admit it. :) But I'm trying to make today the beginning of the "old" me come back. Time to track, measure, weigh my foods and be careful about the snacky crap that sneaks in.

Keep up the great motivation Somer, you're helping me get back in the groove!
