Avoiding the Halloween Overload!

As part of the Jingle My Bell Challenge for my Twilight Challenge team, we are to post a blog this week of how to avoid falling for the sugar rush that is Halloween.

My strategy for this was to not have anything in the house. That was blown to smithereens when my bf's dad brought home cookies and some more cookies. I tend to eat it if it is there. I HAVE been doing better though, instead of eating 4 or 5 cookies, I take 1-2 a day. The only candy we keep in the house is Hershey's Special Dark because I cannot eat too much of it at one sitting.

So my strategy is to avoid bringing candy into the house, avoid bringing any more cookies in, I don't have a clue whether or not we will be handing out candy, but I won't be. We bought some fruit last night and I may pick up some fat free cool whip to have as a treat with it for some added sweetness.

I am going to try and take 3 walks this week. I get a lot of exercise when we go to his school, as free parking is a few blocks away from campus. I am going to go out and walk for 15 minutes today, 15 minutes on Wednesday and then at least 15 on Friday when we go down to campus.

I am hoping this will help keep me on track for this weekend!!

    I did really well until today. I am going to have my bf take the 3 bags (yes 3 bags) of candy his father purchased and get them out of here!! I have demolished everything I worked for over Halloween =(

    But going to try and reign it in and salvage today somehow!

    Ok we made it through halloween! Yip pee. Now my goal is to get rid of all things I ought not/don't want to eat, extra candy included. I hope you did great on your goal of not ODing on candy/cookies.

    I understand how hard it is to avoid the candy...I waited until last weekend to get candy to hand out. they are mini sized and I figure if I do have one it won't be that bad. just have to keep track. Try to enjoy halloween any way you can. keep up the good work!

    Ban the man with the cookies!!! Lately I have been eyeing the bags of oreos for some reason but so far have not broken down and bought any.

    I'm opting for low sugar maple brown sugar instant oatmeal. I like the warm feeling of the bowl and the sweet oatmeal. makes me feel like I'm having a treat in the fall.
