Just finished w1d1 of the c25k program, I am starting over again, thanks to the help of a new spark buddy :) Yesterday I had the most wonderful 9-mile walk with my Team Latte member (my Susan G. Komen 3-day 60 mile walk team :) ) It was the most beautiful day and a great way for us to catch up with our lives for a few hours. It took 3 hours and two bathroom breaks so we were about 17 min mile walk not too shabby for 9 miles. Its just nice to have the company, I am horrible at cardio for any longer than 40 minutes. I used to go to the gym and use each machine but only for 20 minutes at a time because I would get too bored.. ha.
I am trying to use positive thoughts to motivate myself and drown out the negative nelly that lives in my self esteem head! So today, I am proud of myself for 1) getting up and running when I felt like being lazy 2) already preparing meals in my head to stay on track for calories
I must remember that I DESERVE to give to myself and make my mind and body healthy. I am worthy. Have a great Monday everyone, I must go clean bathrooms, mop and vacuum....now where is that ipod.

Way to get back to the C25K program. I really need to do that. Sounds like you had a great walk. Glad you found a fitness buddy to keep you motivated.

I know what you mean about cardio machines at the gym. I can't do them for longer than 20 minutes without feeling a sense of boredom either. I usually take cardio classes like Zumba or Pilates or Kickboxing that last an hour and leave me with a sense of accomplishment.
