What a busy day with much accomplished! I ran a 6 mile long run and was very consistent with my pacing. That felt great and the morning was gorgeous on the bike path along the Mississippi River. I enjoyed every bit of it. I then went home and ate my recovery bar, did my SparkPeople 28 day Day One video followed by my running ST.
Oh and I forgot to mention that I lost another pound! The scale is moving and I am doing it the hard but honest way. I am eating very healthy and getting off the couch and MOVING! I am totally embracing non-running fitness and I am still amazed with that. This may turn into a set habit yet much like running did. Wow, that would be so awesome!
Jim is starting week 3 of c25k and he gets frustrated so easily. The man has no patience and ask anyone in our family. They would agree. I am going to run with him sometime this week to check his runnng form and speed. I have a feeling he needs some serious coaching. That would be me LOL. I am also trying to get him to set up his SPage so he can get hooked up with a C25K Spark team so he can ask questions. I never did the c25k program so I can't help him there. He wants to run the Royal Family 5k the day before my Princess HM at Disney World. We will get him there.
When I was getting groceries, I came across two very odd fruits and purchased a few of them to try. The first is a pummelo that is the size of a small child's head and the second is a prickly pear. I tried the prickly pear and it was very interesting. Its blood red inside and very sweet. I shall pick up a few more if there are any left in the produce section. That is how I discovered star fruit last year and I grab them when available.
Other than giving the dog an unplanned bath, I got everything on my todo list done. Like I mentioned, I have been busy all weekend and ready to get back to work so I can rest. LOL
