Another year has come and gone...

Sunday, November 21, 2010

Another year has come and almost gone. It's winding down rapidly, and I'm HEAVIER than I was when I started. I am frustrated that I let my personal life bring me down and keep me fat. I need to lose 60 pounds now. That's a LOT. I have some things in my life that need to change. I've felt stuck for so long out of fear, because I know I'm going to struggle greatly. At what point do you say, "screw it" and just DO IT? Jumping like a cat off a roof, and hoping I'll land on my feet is scary. I know it contributes to what keeps me fat. This year I have to do something. I cannot keep going like this. I'm tired of feeling tired. emoticon

I have to agree with CECE, and I love the way she phrased it "a season of learning". Learning about yourself is essential to making a lasting change. You've been doing that. We see it.

BUT-you have been in a season of learning about yourself...and growing emotionally and mentally stronger. Better to get that together first Tracey-than to lose and regain.

I think that you are in a GREAT place to start a new season of change. Let the wind switch direction and GO FOR IT!

I know what you mean and I have to do the same thing, I have to lose this weight, I hate the way I feel and look. I know that we can do this we just have to do it.

I hear you Tacota. I held onto this weight for the last 10 years. Couldn't shake it no matter what I did. So I decided to change fromthe inside out. I changed my thoughts about me ( mine was "yes i have weight on me but apparently i wear it well and no one believes how much I really weigh") find a good and true thought to tell yourself when you get down on your life. Repeat it often! Make small changes in your eating habits over time..replacing sugar with a safe sugar free alternative..decreasing salt and fats after that. Don't do it all at once it can be overwhelming.
Fear is a great immobilizer, find a motivator instead (pair of jeans, partner in your journey for a while, whatever). You CAN do this, really you can. Your strong, brave you is just wating to emerge. emoticon
