Well, it wasn't a total loss

Tuesday, December 07, 2010

Well, I made it to the gym today.

Let's start right off with OWN it...
I set the stationary bike for 30 minutes, but I only pushed through the first 20 minutes before quitting. I've never done this before. Yes, I had a terrible stomach ache, but I still feel like maybe I could have made it. I can't help but wonder if my wanting to leave had as much to do with the unusual number of people there as it did with my upset stomach.
I know the gym is likely to be more crowded in winter, and I am just going to have to accept that and do what I need to do.

Anyway, I got 7.15 miles in that 20 minutes. Then at home, I did a lot of climbing, moving, lifting, and rearranging of boxes after I was feeling better to bring all the Christmas decorations in the house. Later in the evening (when my daughter finally got done playing JumpStart Island) I got 32 minutes on the Wii Fit and 45 on Walk It Out. So I did manage to get some calories burned. Tuesday is going to be very busy, so I better get started early!

TONE it..
arm and leg lifts.

Dec Goals Day 6...
10,568 steps-that's all 6 days over 10,000!
32 minutes added to my fit bank- total now at 105:11 of the 120 hours I am going for.
December total fitness minutes =849 of 2011minute goal

Great job getting some things done even when not feeling good!! I get 6.77 miles a day now even with a desk job because of concentrated effort. Once in a while I hit the bike just to through my body off and get the pumps started again. Again Great Job emoticon emoticon emoticon

Good golly, I HATE you! (In the best possible way!)

I struggle to get 3500 steps (desk job).

I'll just go over here and feel blobby, while you're over there all sleek, with a nice glisten of successful sweat!

Seriously, I'm glad you didn't try to push yourself through the 30 minutes. A stomach ache is a stomach ache - no matter what causes it. It's no good to start associating unpleasant discomfort with fun exercise! Sounds to me like you made a great decision!
