I need another plate!!

Tuesday, December 07, 2010

It never fails, just when you think you can't possibly fit anymore on your plate, someone asks you to do something else. Today was an incredibly busy day, yet I don't feel like I got much accomplished. Rather I feel overwhelmed and like there is more to do than I can hope to complete. And then I was asked to teach Sunday School for my daughter's class for the next two weeks until they find a new teacher. Of course, I said yes. Well, I have to be at church anyway, so all it takes is to prepare the lesson, right? I just can't wait to get through this month. Or at least this next couple of weeks, then the majority of my responsibilities will be complete and I can focus on Christmas and family until next month. Phew.

Well, at least I can feel good about meeting my goals for the day...
Cardio- 65 minutes
Strength- 15 minutes
Steps- 10,804
Total December minutes- 929

OWN it...
"I" agreed to all these various tasks I am expected to complete and now "I" need to organize, prioritize, and make the most of every minute in order to get things finished on time and as expected!

TONE it...
tricep dips.

Sounds like you are doing great even though you have a lot on your plate right now. I'm sure you'll just gobble it up and do fantastic in everything. Have fun!

some times we feel completely overwhelmed, that's for sure- sit down, prioritize and list things out and maybe it'll help you settle your mind to just bust through the list. Good luck!

I think you are wise to know that through all your 'yeses' you must maintain your commitment to yourself and your body. Hang in there and please, remember to enjoy the moments of the season. Perhaps the best will come during one of those Sunday school classes. emoticon

It's too bad that we almost wish Christmas past just to get through all the craziness. Glad that you were able to stick to your goals.
Work is usually slow this time of year but it's been crazy the last 6 weeks.I miss my "downtime" at work to destress. emoticon

Way to go on your day! I have the same problem with not knowing how to say "No". At least you are working on your health too!

It is too bad that Christmas has to be so much hustle and bustle! I truly think if we focused on the true meaning of the season, there would be less suicide and more time spent with family and friends without feeling like we have to out due ourselves. I know what you mean when you say you feel like your running around like a chicken with your head cut off! I try not to get stressed out, but sometimes it creeps in my mind. Keep your chin up and stay focused on what is most important! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I really hate it when other people dump extra stuff on us - especially at this time of year. But you can deal with this and after the holidays, you may be bored to death.
