I've been feeling and doing GREAT the past 2 weeks or so. I can attribute this to the increase in activity. I tried experimenting to see if I make sure to get in at least a half hour brisk walk during work, and either doing my Core Rhythms DVD or Shred (or BOTH, for that matter

) or a jog in the evening, to see how that went. It was a bit rough the first few days into it, and I'd say TOM was most likely the culprit there...but now he's gone and I am springing into action!
Got in a great jog in the rain again last night, this time I must say I got caught in quite a downpour and I was completely saturated!!! It still felt great - once I got past the whole "omg my eyeliner is dripping into my eyes-thing" - THAT was interesing - LOL!

...I did about 40 min jogging and headed up to one of the big hills which I hiked up (only about 15-20 min up - but a HELLUV an incline) - felt great...
Came home and picked up Joey from wrestling practice - we had such a good chat - he was so adorable - he insisted on trying to get me to try his chin-up bar - OMG that crap is HARD to do!!! He easily did 10 and I can't even do one!! Well, I totally cheated and jumped up and pulled up, still not even to chin level. We were dying laughing - so, between my son and I, we made this new challenge for me - to be able to do 1 single chin-up and go from there! He also had me on the floor showing me this move called a V-Sit - they do it in wrestling - TOTALLY busts your core!! I don't see anything like it in the fitness tracker, but basically, you sit on your bum, elevate straight legs in front of you while reaching towards your toes so that the only thing on the ground is your tushy. Hold that for 30 seconds - FELT LIKE EONS!!! SO, another great new move.
I topped off my evening of excercise with two supersets of upper arm ST. Hence the "Feeling Strong" status feed for the day!
Havin fun getting more fit by the day and loving it!
Eating has been much better too. Increased my H2O to at least 10 glasses/day. Made a world of difference with the jogging and notice I haven't been getting shin splints as much as before - well, between that and super stretching out before and after! Caved though the other day and devoured like 3 small slices of lemon cake - ARRGH...Still trying to fend off my insatiable sweet tooth. May invest in a couple small squares of dark chocolate for those intense "I gotta have it" moments.
Feeling Strong and proud of it!
Make it a great day!
xoxo
