What Happened on the Cruise, STAYS on the Cruise....

Monday, December 27, 2010

Hey, we had a wonderful, wonderful vacation. TOTALLY relaxing and awesome. We loved our shore excursions in Panama and Costa Rica the best and met some really interesting people.

Unfortunately for my weight management, this was a different cruise line than the one we've taken twice before, so my "best laid plans" really went out the window. Who would have guessed that cruise lines would run things so differently?

Well, I didn't do great. But here's what IS great about being a SparkPerson: I have resilience. I know that this gain doesn't have to be a catastrophe that sends me careening off the path forever. I can start back today, right this minute, which is exactly what I've done.

I've had a wonderful day and it feels great. We walked in 20-degree weather, ate well, and I cooked up a storm.

I'm back and I'm ready to rumble!

Resilience: that's the quality that keeps us going long term. And the cruise sounds like it was totally worth it anyhow . . . !!
