Good Bye 2010
Friday, December 31, 2010
As I bid goodbye to 2010 I think back with fond memories some of the big events that took place. In March my daughter got engaged to a nice young man who has very good taste. I also celebrated 23 years of marriage. In May my husband took a voluntary paid lay off and begin looking for a new job. In July my youngest turned 20 and my husband went on several interviews- all in Texas. In August he started his new job and moved to Texas (staying with my parents) while I stay here until the house sells. He loves his new job but the housing market is s-l-o-w and we have only had 2 showings in 5 months. My husband and son came to see me for Labor Day, I flew to them in October and again for Thanksgiving and they came this way for 9 wonderful days at Christmas. We also got to suprise my future son-in-law and attended his graduation from college (we also went as a big group in May to see my daughter get her double major degree). So I have many, many blessings to be thankful for, 2010 was good to us.
So my wishes for 2011 are simple: please bring the right family to this house so I can move and be with my family again, make my daughters wedding the one of her dreams, keep my son safe and happy as he celebrates 21 (and maybe send a nice pretty girl his way too)!! Please grant me the strength and willpower to see my way to a healthier lifestyle not just for me but for my whole family. I hope I can start a trend that filters down to my sisters and parents so we can all be healthy and happy for many years to come.
I wish you all the best for 2011 and hope you are seeing 2010 in the rearview mirror with a smile on your face as I am. Remember life is not lived with the breaths you take but the moments that take your breath away!!
