Happy New Year To All!

Saturday, January 01, 2011

So I managed to weigh-in...despite the fact that my daughter put the sticky note in the basement bathroom mirror and not my bedroom bathroom mirror.

It was NOT pretty...I had been maintaining my weight...but I guess I got cocky about my abilities to keep it there...And...well...I am PAYING FOR THAT NOW!!!

I am changing the weight level on my SP profile.

I am so disappointed in myself.

So I am starting off my year at 176lbs as of this morning!

I didn't do yesterday's Resolution Run either.
I know this sounds like an excuse and I really shouldn't be making any, but I had a horrible migraine all day that started prior to me even getting out of bed...I went to work and on the way home stopped and picked up my race kit. I had every intention of giving it a go...but the migraine just hurt so much and by about 4pm my eye way swollen and pink and leakey and gross....I was going to take a picture to post it just so you all believed me...but it's gross...and seriously...nobody needs to see it...LOL

It's still gross...and sore so I am glad I didn't run last night as the wind from running (not that I am THAT fast of a runner or anything...LOL) would definitely have irritated it.

It's a new year and I still have approx. 26lbs or so to get to my comfortable weight or 36lbs to get to the WOOHOO weight I want to be at....

I have to sit down and reassess where I am at and how I am going to get where I want to be.

I know that my number one goal for this year is to be honest with myself...AT ALL COSTS!!
I have to start digging deeper, and get out of whatever the hell it is that keeps me in the rut I have been in, the roller coaster that IS my life.

Happy New Year to all of my fellow Sparkers and Goal Setting is my first goal for 2011!

A Demain!
Later Sparkers

PS: Congrats to all my fellow Ottawa Sparkers who ran last night!!! WAY TO GO!!!

We missed you at the Resolution Run, but I am glad you stayed home and took care of yourself! We don't want you to have another episode of sickness. I think you were honest with yourself, and realized you weren't physically at your best to attempt a run, so you made the right decision!

I love your number one goal! Sometimes we love to pretend, don't we? There's no doubt in my mind that you will reach your goals!! Go for it!!!

I think taking care of yourself is a good responsible decision...not an excuse! There is no way it would be fun to run with a horrid migraine and an oozy eyeball. Not sure about the spelling, but you get my point! You will get back into the swing of things sooner than you think!

You know I would kick your butt if I thought it were warranted, right? But for this, no. I think you have a good reason to cut yourself some slack for a migraine. Reasons are not excuses--they are valid.

As far as the weight gain goes, well, what's done is done, you had some challenges, but you can start again. This time, make it a sane schedule, ok? Let us know what encouragement and motivation we can help with--it's yours.

Hey, sorry we missed you last night BUT you did the right thing you took care of YOU ! And right now that is the most important thing right, there will be many more runs but there is only one Annie. Excellent goals, you will get there. Looking forward of meeting you next time. Happy New Year, Joséw

emoticon on setting your goals and getting ready to take the new year on!!
It was probably for the best that you didn't run. I get migraines, my eyes don't usually get swollen, but I usually don't want to do much of anything but rest.
So rest and get yourself healthy than hit the ground running! emoticon
    Happy New Year emoticon !
