Day 10 - Standing Up

Wednesday, January 05, 2011

I had a great day today. I didn't have to be into work until noon because I was scheduled to work late.

TC and I did an interval podcast on our favorite walking trail. We did 3.5 miles at in 51 minutes, and a cool-down mile in 17 minutes. YAY! The half-marathon is scheduled for March 6.

I ate within my calorie limit and met all my other peripheral goals.

The "standing up" part came because I have a doctor's appt. on Monday morning for the FOOT FROM H3LL, but today I was given an assignment for that time. Normally I wouldn't say anything and would just cancel the dr. appointment and meet the commitment I was given.

But this isn't in line with my new year's resolution to PUT MY NEEDS FIRST! So I asked my boss if someone else could take my place so I could keep my doctor appointment.

Still haven't heard, and I may not be able to foist off this commitment, BUT AT LEAST I ASKED.

I'm happy with myself; double-digit days on track!

Good for you, TG!! It's tough enough to get ourselves to make appointments. emoticon on speaking up to try to keep it! I hope it all works out.

WOW! The intervals you and TC did sound terrific! Were you doing walk/run or spped walk/regular walk or what. You may have said at some point, I am behind around here!

Way to go - you get another emoticon for that.

That foot has bothered you long enough and you need to get it fixed. Besides - what are they going to do? Fire you? I think not.

You are certainly setting a new great standard for us in Sparkland. Maybe that's your next job - inspirational blog writer!
