A New Year, A New Me...

I'm really enjoying the fact that I've captured some motivation from somewhere. I think I caught it from the fact that the numbers on the scale were climbing higher, my pants were uncomfortable, and I've got a few things coming up that would just be better if I felt better about myself. I'm doing a half marathon in a couple of weeks and although I didn't leave myself near enough time to trim down like I'd like to, I at least want to be 3-5lbs less by then. I just remind myself of how much easier it would be to pack less weight 13.1 miles! The other motivator is a cruise with friends in March.
I've even gone so far as to join the local gym and change things up a bit. Instead of running five days a week I am now running three and doing a Body Pump class 2-3 days a week. I think I'm really going to like the change. I've been stuck in the routine for the pase SEVERAL years. My body has quit responding.
I'm so grateful for friends who have the same goals I do. It's great to have motivators in them too.
