TMI...Choose One Thing

Wednesday, January 12, 2011

Okay, I know I am not alone here....New year, New plans & a dozen ways to get there...otherwise known as information overload. I am drowning in it & because of "too much information", nothing is getting done. UGH!!! We've all been there from time to time, but in order to be successful, we have to take one thing at a time. It's kind of like our walk with Christ. When we get saved, we are still that same person, with all the same flaws. If you were bald yesterday, guess what...you're still bald today. But, God begins to work on us from the inside and transformation begins to take place. We all wish all transformation could take place overnight in our instant society. BUT, would that really be what is best for us? I think when we walk through things, it helps to shape us into who we need to become; who God has called us to be. So, just for today, let us all choose just one thing to change & do it. We may need to practice this thing for many days, before moving on to something new, but in the process, we can create good habits, and permanent change. Thank God He never leaves us or forsakes us, which means He will be right there with us. He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory, so He will give us what we need to get through it.Just choose one thing to change....one thing at a time. Walk through it and grow into all you are called to be.Inch by inch it's a cinch. And remember, just like the tortoise & the hare....slow and steady wins the race! Big hugs to you all!

Yes, I agree! I started out the year with a list of things I wanted to accomplish and in 2 weeks, I was feeling depressed and about ready to throw in the towel. But, then after doing some serious praying. God reminded me to take one step at a time. So, most of my list is still there! But I'm concentrating on one thing- not the whole list! I'm no longer feeling overwhelmed!

Thanks for the reminder and the reassurance I'm moving in the right direction!

Ok.......... first of all you dont have to remind me I am bald emoticon

I agree with ya. It's hard enough focusing on one thing much less a whole bunch of things that can choke ya. I am learning to simply put my faith in the Father and trust the path I am walking is the right one.

"In every thing give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1Thessalonias 5:18

So I will keep giving thanks and keep moving foward and continue to thank God for good friends like you.

    Much Love
