Make your diet fit you

I read an article today because the title just caught me!
Don't fit your diet - make your diet fit you.
Sometimes we see things and just say DUH! because it's so true. I had one of those moments this morning. I had taken the profiler before - what kind of eater are you - and I'm having success on Spark, but I hadn't realized why ----- I thought I had found a diet that worked for me. But really, Spark is so adaptable that I guess, on a subconscious level, I'm making it work for me.
I change it up on a fairly regular basis. But that's easy to do. Since the ground rules are --- count your calories and exercise ---- I change up my menu and types of exercise when I get bored with something.
I've also added more fruits and veggies to my diet. I reduced the serving size of my main course and added 2 sides, each of equal portion to the main course.....last night was a small pork chop with a huge piece of butternut squash (a little butter spray) and green beans. It was SO tasty!! And filling! And since the squash is naturally sweet, I didn't want any dessert ----- although, I never really developed the habit of having dessert in the first place.
