Why do I always do this to myself?

Sunday, January 23, 2011

Why do I always always always make more work for myself? I had a nice little system worked out for my Lit 2 class. It was practically running itself. What do I do? I changed the reading list this semester, so now I have to read and research and write new lectures. I had forgotten how much work that is. I also forgot how much fun it is!

Other than read and write, I managed to burn a pot of beans today. Anyone wanna volunteer to scrub that crap off the bottom of the pan? Anyone?

Hey! Where did everybody go?

Are you a twin of my wife? She was supposed to be an only child! English teachers that care must have a burning desire to spread literature as a source for knowledge and grammar.

Sounds like you secretly enjoy the extra work. i bet you are a great teacher and all of "your kids" love you.

Sorry about the pot, those darn beans!

I"m sorry that you have extra work to do this semester. That just goes to show that you are a good teacher! As for the pot of beans - been there, done that!

I'll scub the pot out if you teach some of that Lit to my 7th graders. While your at it, their English could use a little work too.

Been a busy weekend. If scrubbing your pots meant we could have an opportunity to visit I would do it. emoticon

Sorry about the extra work but you would have had to do at some time right? Maybe it will inspire you to new ideas or ways of setting it up in the future so that it isn't so much work? Just saying.
