Time to Start Again

I'm back on the proverbial horse. But I should give some backstory to my falling off for my own recollection down the line.
So I turned 30 back in October, and the party never really stopped. I almost never worked out. I ate lots of sugar. I made lots of sugary goodness for the holidays (ask me about my peppermint fudge). I've been on the road a lot. School and life have been stressing me out. And I've been enjoying being 30. But now my scale reads 280 (a number I swore I'd never see again), and I recognize that my health is so important.
I've been indulging in the new MTV series "I used to be fat." This group of 18 year olds are so inspirational. Some of them are brats, yes. But I like that we see them deal with some of themotional issues that I have yet to face twelve years after high school. At any rate, I'm newly motivated by watching them. I hope to deal with some old baggage of the last millenium and move forward in my journey.
I hope to lose 50 pounds by summer, which will put me at 230. I have signed up for the Losing It program at school, which is a combination of group personal training and personalized meal plans. They also have a nutrition seminar and several other fun things along the way. I'm excited to see how it goes. My first training session is later on today! After that, I will be doing some gym workouts. I will report back on how things go.
So here we are again! Let's do it!
