And I thought February would start out quietly...

After a horrendous January with LOTS of family angst going on, I was so glad to see the month behind us. Enter February...and a blizzard. Yep, we are snowed in today and now have more shingles on the ground than on the roof (said in jest, although my husband picked up a bunch of shingles that were scattered and some of them aren't even ours!) The winds are gusting anywhere between 30-50 mph. I've included some pictures below for you to get an idea. Yes, the two cars you see at the neighbor's house has one of them covered in snow almost to the roof.
After the snow pictures, there are pics of Finnegan who has just about had it with this white stuff. We had to put him in his jacket just to see him outside because he, too, is white, and this poor guy was literally trying to swim through a huge drift of snow. We all watched him doggie paddle for a couple seconds and then he was able to jump. Luckily some of the yard is lower in snow for him to do his business (although he "insisted" on his usual spot, which happens to have 6 foot drifts). Anyway, he loves to sleep with an eye mask, so you'll get to witness that hilarity below. I did it one day as a joke, and he stretched out with a contented groan and went to sleep for 2 hours!
I'm off to don my winter gear to go help the boys with the snow removal (of course, it's just temporary because everything they've plowed is already drifting over). At least this futility will burn some calories.
