my first streak in a while...

Set a goal to myself to start tracking my food/fitness again, and as of today I tracked everything for a whole week.
Starting to get back into the swing of things again, and getting myself back on track feels better than I remembered it did.
I've been having lots of fun with the geocaching, and I can feel the muscles building, but the weight hasn't been coming off, even though I've maintained a lot of the healthy habits I picked up on Sparkpeople last year. So I know I have to keep a closer eye on things again and see where the problem lies.
One thing I've realized is that tall glass of chocolate milk I've been having at night occasionally over the last few months is actually a couple hundred calories, and that simple little thing alone could be hindering my progress and topping me over my calorie goals.
Who woulda thunk it?
Actually. . . I should have!!!! I KNOW a lot of my problems come not from the food I'm eating, but the liquid I'm consuming. I have 2 years and 20lbs worth of Peppermint mocha lattes to attest to that fact.
No more lattes!!! Ok.. I cant say that. I know I need that little splurge now and again, and telling myself I cant just makes me want them more, but telling myself that after a couple hours of hiking up hills looking for geocaches that I can occasionally have one sounds a LOT better than telling myself NO NO NO!!! That just makes my inner child start throwing a hissy fit.
So, enough of my rambling for now. I just wanted to post, so I could document that I accomplished my first goal (of many) I tracked everything for a full week again. Yay ME!!!
