I have such a hard time remembering to blog, or even finding something to blog about!

That said, I am trying again...

I have done fairly well, not perfectly, but passably in keeping my New Year's resolution of moving more and losing weight. The weight is coming off VERY slowly, but I feel better. Fred's gift of a Fitbit for Christmas has really made a difference. Finally a pedometer that works for me (pretty much, although it does not pick up all your steps if you are walking in place) - a bunch of folks on the Fitbit site and FB Fitbit group for support - and folks here at SP. I am moving more, and Walk it Out! for Wii has been the most effective tool to get me motivated to walk and keep walking! My energy level is better and I am sleeping better. Small steps, but certainly sure steps to better health. If only the weight would come off more quickly...
I had been able to drop some responsibilities but shortly thereafter got pressed into service as the church's volunteer organist, since we could no longer afford our paid organist. (Sigh). I will continue to try and figure out exactly what I should be doing and what is best left to other people, but it's hard. JUST SAY NO needs to become my motto!

    Hang in there! I'm in the same boat. The weight just seems to be coming off so slowly. It's frustrating but.....at least it's coming off and not going on. It will be baseball season before you know it!! something to look forward too!!!!

    I had the same issue with my FitBit. May I suggest that you try wearing your FitBit closer to your feet when walking in place. I wear mine on my sock or the bottom of my pant leg and now am getting proper credit for my steps (or so it seems!)

    Nevertheless, good for you for keeping to your New Year's resolution. Sorry the weight is not coming off as quickly as you would like but it will as long as you continue moving (and monitoring your food intake). Keep up the great work!!!
