Rethinking.

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

I have had this great schedule down for my exercise. Runs on Monday and Wednesday mornings before my niece arrives...which means right on the treadmill at 7, after older son gets on bus. This means I'm done and only slightly drippy by the time she gets here at 7:45......not a lot of wiggle room, but with the proper planning - it was working....

However - my niece is arriving at 7:15 the last few times, and so therefore, no run before she arrives. I know - you are all saying- after she leaves....well in theory that is great, but she leaves at 5:45, and then it's off to hockey practices until 8....which means I don't arrive home until 8:30 - and then by the time I get the run in, it's after 9PM when I finish, which causes problems with my sleep....so....time to rethink the routine again...

I can't do Insanity while she is here - she requires attention - as all 9 month olds do - and while I could put her in her play pen for 40 minutes...somehow - that just doesn't feel right - so again - adjust....

I am loving the way both running and Insanity are making me feel - so I don't want to give up one or the other ---- so rethinking I am....

Eventually it will be nice out -and my niece and I will hit the streets in a jogging stroller - well - she'll be in the stroller, I'll push - and that will be added cardio - pushing her - but until then - rethink...

I have done my QF, BC and pushups today.

I can't believe I am almost done with 100 pushup challenge.....I did over 70 pushups today.....this time last year - I couldn't do one....who would have thought.

I know that at the end of the 6 weeks, I won't be able to do the 100, and I'll go back to week 1, but I think at the end of the 2nd rotation I'll be there....and I will have some buff arms to show for it....LOVE THAT....

Tank tops - here I come.

napping is inconsistent to say the least - some days yes - I could get a run in - but days like yesterday - she slept for no longer than 15 minutes...so I would have been mid run.....

I'll figure it out - and it is only for a couple more weeks - she'll be in her jogging stroller before too long and along for the ride.

I am also one wondering if she naps. I know virtually nothing about babies, just wondering. LOL

You're doing great with the push up challenge!

I, like Amy, thought getting up early would be the best solution...but since I am like you and do not get up early very well I would have to rethink it also.
Great job on the push-up challenge. I really want to start that also. I cannot imagine doing 7 push-ups in a row much less 70!

Hmmm. . . does she nap? Would it be possible to run while she's sleeping?

What time do you get up in the mornings? What if you got up an hour earlier on just those 2 days? That would give you a few minutes to wake up before hopping on the treadmill.
I can't remember - you may not be a morning person so this may not work for you. I just can't imagine trying to run late at night. I like to be in bed by 8:30-9. Yeah, like an old lady!
Anyways, you are smart. You'll figure something out. And you'll look great in those tank tops =D
