Rose for Me
Wednesday, March 02, 2011
Today the doorbell rang and the UPS man was walking back down the sidewalk. There was a box propped up against the door. It was from Jackson Perkins and was for me. In the box was tree rose. When I had my shoulder surgery I had a wonderful therapist named Linda. Going to therapy 3 times a week for 3 months we became friends. We just clicked. Hubby and I moved from NC to VA right at the end of my finishing therapy and Linda and I have talked on the phone a few times. She sent this to me as a friendship rose. It actually is supposed to make 3 different colors on the same rose. I had a similar one before I moved and was sorry I couldn't take it with me. I had taken her several of the roses during therapy when they were buds and she loved them because they lasted so long. She tried to get me the same one from Jackson Perkins, but it had been discontinued. She got me this one instead. That was so nice of her. The rose I had was named "Rio Samba" and this one is similar and named "Mardi Gras". I miss her and think of her often.
