The corrective benefits of a LC lifestyle
Thursday, March 10, 2011
I watched the Dr. Oz show in which Gary Taubes was his guest. As a result of this show, I then read a blog from Gary. He closed the blog with a quote from a friend of his and of everything he said, this portion really struck me as great information. I am still sort of mulling it over but here is the quote from the blog:
************
Benefits v. Correction:
A restricted-carbohydrate diet doesn’t make you lose weight; it corrects your weight.
A restricted-carbohydrate diet doesn’t make you lose water weight; it corrects your water weight.
A restricted-carbohydrate diet doesn’t improve serum lipids; it corrects serum lipids.
A restricted-carbohydrate diet doesn’t improve health; it corrects unhealthiness.
********
I have wondered since reading this that the one lb here and there that I am losing is a reflection of that "correction" happening in my system.
Very interesting.
