Runaway Wagon....

Why is it that a few days away can cause chaos in a routine???
We spent last weekend away for younger sons hockey tournament --- I was good before we left - I even squeaked in a run on Friday before we headed out - knowing that I would not do anything in the realm of healthy eating or exercise for the next two days.
I woke up Saturday with a full blown cold courtesy of my little niece who sneezed twice in my face on Monday (thank you little one)....and just kind of felt ucky.
The tournament was great - the kids played so well. They won all four games, scored 23 goals, and only allowed 2 for the whole tournament. They brought home the big trophy...Yeah for them.
We finally arrived home Sunday night about 9:30, and it was crazy time - get ready for school the next day, unpack - you know those drills.
Monday is my day with my niece, and I struggle to get any exercise in on those days - I can't bring myself to get out of bed any earlier than I do (5:45) and I spend the evening chasing my hockey players, so by the time the day is done it is 9PM, and my body will not react well to running and then going right to bed...so I knew it would be Tuesday.
Well - it came and went, and so didn't Wednesday and here I am - Thursday - and I have managed to add a couple of pounds (too many adult beverages and carb heavy foods over the weekend)....and I have ZERO motivation....
I have to snap out of this - or it will be a bad scene - so after I finish this I am going to attack the house that has been neglected all week and hopefully get my groove back on by building up a good sweat doing the cleaning....it's a soup to nuts kind of cleaning that needs to be done...
Everything has fall behind...running, pushups, planks, bootcamp, quickfire.....not good.....
Here's to a new day.....starting NOW!
