Getting ready for the New New!!

Hi my husband and I went shopping last week and one of the salesman asked me was I looing for something for my son. He was referring to my husband who is 9 years younger than me, but I know that I dont look old enough to be his mother!! I really need to get on to living healthy and loosing weight because I know I dont want to be a sickly wife that he has to take care of sooner than he should. That wouldnt be fair to him. Not only that if made me feel bad because I want to be someone that he is proud to be seen with, not referred to as his mother.!!! Getting the menu and shopping list together to start my first day eating healthy tomorrow!!!! I AM READY FOR THE NEW NEW!!!!!

    As a wife of a man eight years my junior I feel you. Marriage is about the long haul but we don't want them to have to haul us around in the future due to poor choices we have made in the past and the present. Good for you starting this journey, remember though darling that this is a journey not a sprint. Take the changes slowly so you don't burn out quickly, remember that a program can be tweaked over and over there is no perfect way to do this. Lean us here at the SPARK for support beautiful thing about this site is we all have been there, done that or are still doing it (and me personally I love the no judgement mentality of 98% of the members).     Oh dear the same has been happening with mom and me all the time... Don't be worried, men usually age more slowly especially on their faces - maybe they wrinkle less because of shaving which is a kind of daily massage...
