Bruised, but back and mitigating damages

I have admitted it in past blog entries, I am a stress eater. Worse than that, I am a conscious stress eater. I know I'm doing it and even though I am getting better at maintaining a healthy way of eating through stressful times...well, when things get beyond a certain point, I just need pizza.

Sure, I shoulda made a pizza-like treat at home. But little did I know [menopause makes these things an absolute surprise] I was ALSO PMSing. SO. Pizza. And also Mexican food out. And poptarts. Not all at one sitting, but a 2.5 day blow off. Not epic...cuz, no cake with frosting...or lasagna. But, you know...not great.

I am back...and taking rollcall. I gained 3.1 pounds...and truthfully, that could be PMS and fluid...so I will wait it out and not turn that into a reason to stress. I skipped workouts, I have not been drinking enough water, for sure, and I probably ate way too much salt. But it's over. My last topple off the healthy train was pretty long, and this was only 3 days. Seems like progress to me. So, back on track now...and that's what counts. Yay me. :D

    I unfortunately know all too well about overeating when PMSing! And yes, I've found that I do get some retention going on with that, so don't really pay attention to the number for at least a week. Dang hormones! emoticon
