One of the great things about SparkPeople is the connection we make with others. I was scrolling through my friends' list again tonight, checking in on people and as I did I realized how blessed I am from knowing all of you, or as is often said here in the south, all y'all.
I have learned about your families, your successes and, sometimes, your disappointments and tribulations. We have celebrated your success with weight loss, new jobs, marriages, book publishing, new babies, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We have also commiserated together over the loss of relatives, friends and beloved pets. A few of us have talked on the phone while I have met other members over lunch.
Since I took an early retirement from law enforcement several years ago due to back problems and because of being a writer and editor, I spend a lot of time with the computer and do not have the luxury of seeing people in person very often like it was at work. That makes learning of all of your lives that much more meaningful. You have become people with whom I truly would enjoy meeting and spending time.
I want to wish you all, oops, all y'all

a pleasant rest of the week and a fun weekend. I also wish you much success with your efforts to lose weight as you progress toward becoming the healthier person you want to be.
Most of all, though, I wish you happiness and many blessings, like the ones you have given me. I appreciate your encouragement when I am feeling down and your congratulations with every bit of my weight loss.
Stay focused, determined and positive and know that you are important to me and to others. For including me in your lives I am eternally grateful.
