#465: Make Every Day a "Good" One
Thursday, March 17, 2011
This evening's moon is shining bright with twinkling stars joining it in the night sky. There is a cool refreshing breeze. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. A fitting end to another wonderful day.
I've read several blogs this week about days that were, well, good days, not spectacular or necessarily exciting just, good. Makes me wonder why we allow ourselves to become so stressed over life that we miss out on all the joy around us, to the point that when we have no stress we are surprised by a good day.
But every day can be that way if we pay attention and remember the saying about not sweating the small stuff. Sure, there will be work problems and financial, family, car and other problems, but they do not take away the beauty and the peace that can be ours if we make time to enjoy all the things that make for a "good" day.
AUBURNGRL posted a blog today at www.sparkpeople.com/mypa
that shows us how to take pleasure in and be appreciative of everyday events.
No matter how your day went today, take a few minutes to go outside and gaze at the sky and look around you and see and feel the serenity and inspiration that is available to us every day, regardless of our location and despite the problems we face.
Read the message she posted and vow to yourself you will make every day a "good" day. Let these days become the norm instead of the exception. If you do, they will fill your mind and your heart with peace.
